Eligibility

Am I eligible?

To be eligible, you must be:

• between the ages of 16 and 25 as of September 1, 2025
• a permanent resident or citizen of Canada
• fluent in English, French, or both (all documents used during meetings are offered in English and French)
• available to actively participate in Council activities for the duration of the term

Selection process

We select members based on an analysis of the responses provided in the application form and the eligibility criteria.

The list of selected candidates will be posted on the YAC website, and an email will be sent to the successful candidates.

Compensation

If selected, you will sign an agreement for the 2025–2026 mandate, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year. A fixed compensation of $225 per meeting is offered, paid after attending meetings and completing assigned tasks.
