Sponsor a pre-approved refugee in need

You can sponsor pre-approved refugees through the Blended Visa Office-Referred (BVOR) Program. These refugees:

• have the greatest need to resettle
• are already eligible to come to Canada
• can have their applications processed quicker

Your responsibilities as a BVOR sponsor

You need to commit to providing:

• 6 months of financial support
• 12 months of social, emotional and settlement support

The Government of Canada provides the other 6 months of financial support.

1. Find a BVOR refugee to sponsor

   1. Find a refugee to match with on the RSTP site
   2. Create an account and request a refugee match
   3. Confirm your match once it’s been approved

2. Apply to sponsor a refugee you’ve been matched with

   After you confirm your match in your RSTP account, we’ll email you more information about your sponsorship case. You’ll need it to complete a few forms:
