You can get free settlement services in Canada
All Ukrainian temporary residents and their family members in Canada can access free settlement services until March 31, 2025.
These temporary measures have ended
The last day for you to submit an application under the temporary measures was December 31, 2024.
You can continue to stay in Canada until the expiry date on your temporary resident document.
However, to apply for a work permit or a study permit, or to extend your stay, you must
- meet all the eligibility requirements
- apply through the regular process
- pay standard processing fees

If you submitted an application before the deadline
We’ll process your application if it was successfully submitted.
How we process your application
We’ll check your application to make sure you included all the necessary documents, any fees that you need to pay and gave your biometrics (if required).
If it’s incomplete, we’ll return your application without processing it.
We may also ask you to send more information.
If your application is approved
We’ll mail the study permit to the Canadian address you gave us in your application.
If your mailing address changes before we approve your application, you must contact us to tell us your new address.
