As of June 30, 2026, the Start-Up Visa Program is paused.

We stopped accepting commitment certificates from organizations after December 31, 2025. Applicants with a valid 2025 commitment certificate had to apply by June 30, 2026. We’ll continue to process applications we received before that date.

We aren’t currently designating new organizations.

As a designated organization, you can develop your own process for receiving proposals from immigrant entrepreneurs. You can also develop your own criteria to assess them. It’s up to you to find potential immigrant entrepreneurs you’d like to support.

You can team up with other designated organizations to meet the minimum investment or support required.

Designated organization caps

Until December 31, 2026

Each calendar year, we’ll only be considering 10 complete group applications per designated organization. Applications will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis.
