Hire through the Home Care Worker Immigration pilots
The Home Care Worker Immigration pilots allow employers in Canada (outside Quebec) to hire qualified home care workers from within Canada or abroad.
There are 2 pilots:
- Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot: Child Care
- Home Care Worker Immigration Pilot: Home Support
Each pilot has 2 application streams:
- Workers in Canada Closed
- Applicants not working in Canada Closed
We’re currently not accepting applications for either stream.
The stream for applicants not working in Canada will open at a later date.
If you and the home care worker meet all the requirements, they can apply for permanent resident status in Canada.
Hiring a home care worker in Quebec
The Home Care Worker Immigration pilots don’t apply to home care workers who will work in Quebec. To hire a foreign in-home care worker in Quebec, you must
- apply for a Labour Market Impact Assessment
- hire them through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program
