The Home Child Care Provider Pilot and the Home Support Worker Pilot were 5-year pilot programs that let qualified caregivers and their family members come to Canada with the goal of becoming permanent residents.
Direct to permanent residence category
The Direct to permanent residence category was for applicants (and their family members) who already had enough work experience to qualify for permanent residence.
Work experience you need for all applications in progress
You need 6 months of eligible Canadian work experience to qualify for permanent residence.
