After you get a job offer from a designated employer, you need a settlement plan to apply for permanent residence.
This plan will
- help you and your family adjust to life in Atlantic Canada
- give you useful information and referrals to free services in your new community

How to get a settlement plan
Your employer may suggest a specific settlement service provider organization, or you can choose one below.
If you’re not yet in Canada and your official language of preference is French, visit ConnexionsFrancophones.ca (in French only), a one-stop-shop for all information and services that can help you better prepare for your departure.
The organization you choose will ask you and your family some questions (in person, online or by phone) to see what your needs are. You’ll then get a personalized settlement plan.
Once you and your family members receive your settlement plan, send a copy to the employer. The employer will need to send the settlement plan with their endorsement application to the province.
You must also include a copy when you apply for permanent residence.

Get your confirmation of provincial endorsement
After you have your settlement plan, the province must endorse your job offer. Your employer will handle this process. If the province endorses your job offer, they’ll send you a confirmation of provincial endorsement. You must include a copy with your permanent residence application.
