As of March 31, 2026, most fees for passports and travel document services have increased. Learn how these changes may affect your application.
Wildfires in some parts of Canada may affect the mail delivery of passports or other travel documents
Contact us if you urgently need your passport or travel document and you:
- can’t access your mail, and
- asked to have your passport or other travel document mailed to you
If you need your passport faster, you may be able to get one of these services:
- urgent pick-up (by the end of next business day)
- express pick-up (2 to 9 business days)
- Some locations take at least 3 or 4 business days to process express applications.
- emergency weekend or statutory holiday service
You can request these services
- when you apply in person
- after you apply, but you now need your passport sooner
To get the services, you
- need to provide the necessary documents
- may have to pay additional fees
