How to Get a Police Certificate - Peru

If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

Names of the documents you need

If you’re a citizen of Peru, you need a Certificado Unico Laboral (Unique Labour Certificate).

If you’re not a citizen of Peru, you need 3 documents:

  • a police certificate
  • a judicial certificate
  • a penal certificate

Police certificate and IRCC requirements

You must provide a police certificate when you apply for:

  • permanent residence
  • citizenship
  • some temporary residence programs

How to apply

If you are a Peruvian citizen with an ID number

Apply for a Certificado Unico Laboral from the Peruvian Ministry of Labour.

You can request your certificate online for free.
