How to get a police certificate – Côte d’Ivoire

If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

Police certificate and IRCC requirements

You must provide a police certificate when you apply for:

  • permanent residence
  • citizenship
  • some temporary residence programs

How to apply

If you live in Côte d’Ivoire

Citizens: Apply for a certificate online at https://servicepublic.gouv.ci/accueil/detaildemarcheparticulier/1/81/61. You must provide your original birth certificate. You must also pay the applicable fees of 2500 cfa.

Non-Citizens: If you are not a citizen of Côte d’Ivoire, apply for a certificate at the Department of Foreign Affairs. You will be required to present your residence certificate, your birth certificate and pay the applicable fees (1000 cfa).

If you live outside Côte d’Ivoire

You must contact the closest Embassy or Consulate of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire. You will need to provide a document stating the start date and end date of your residency along with the reason of your stay and your address.
