How to get a police certificate – Burundi
If you need to give your fingerprints for a police certificate, this isn’t the same as giving your biometrics (fingerprints and photo) for an application.

How to get a Police Certificate:
If you are a citizen of Burundi:
If you live in Burundi:
You should apply in person to the Commissariat Général de la Police Judiciaire (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must bring:
- Your original identity card
- Two passport size photographs
- A letter of introduction and explanation of why the police certificate is required
- Applicable fees
If you live outside of Burundi:
You should apply to the Commissariat Général de la Police Judiciaire (see Special notes and considerations for complete address). You must bring:
- Certified copy of your identity card
- Certified copy of your passport
- Two passport size photographs
- A letter of introduction and explanation of why the police certificate is required
- Applicable fees
If you are not a citizen of Burundi:
