Following new Ministerial Instructions (MIs), instructions have been updated, introducing two options to support hosts and applicants in meeting the Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) requirement and providing updated guidance on eligibility and assessment.
The MIs took effect on March 31, 2026, and decision makers must apply the updated instructions to all super visa applications processed on or after that date, regardless of when the application was submitted to IRCC.
