The instructions relating to the International Mobility Program (IMP) categories of work designated by the Minister as per subparagraph R205(c)(ii), administrative code C41 (instructions related to the measure implemented on January 21, 2026) have been updated. The following change is noted:

  • New instructions were added regarding an exemption from open work permit restrictions related to the 16-month rule for spouses of foreign-trained health care professionals in Quebec.
