Nationals or former habitual residents of Uganda are exempt from the 12-month bar if their Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB), Federal Court or previous pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA) decision was made between June 20, 2025 and June 19, 2026 inclusive. Nationals or former habitual residents of Uganda with a decision made after June 19, 2026 are subject to the 12-month bar.
