Program delivery update: Special immigration measures related to domestic natural disasters

New instructions are available in support of two public policies related to domestic natural disasters. These instructions provide guidance on facilitating the entry of foreign emergency services personnel and outline special measures to support the restoration of temporary resident status for foreign nationals in Canada who are directly affected by natural disasters. These special measures begin on April 1, 2026 and expire on November 30, 2028.
