Certain foreign nationals with temporary resident status in Canada are no longer able to apply for a work permit at a port of entry. To provide accurate information to IRCC and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers, the instructions have been updated to clarify who is eligible to make an application at a port of entry.
