Nationals of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are exempt from the 12-month bar if their Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB), Federal Court or previous pre-removal risk assessment (PRRA) decision was made between July 5, 2024 and July 4, 2025 inclusive. Nationals of the DRC with a decision made after July 4, 2025 are subject to the 12-month bar.
