New instructions are available to reflect new authorities regarding individual cancellation of temporary resident documents which came into force on January 31, 2025.
These regulatory amendments of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations give authority to cancel electronic travel authorizations, temporary resident visas, work permits and study permits on a case-by-case basis.
Note: Situations involving serious inadmissibilities and/or specific scenarios not covered in this PDI will be addressed in a future iteration.
