Program delivery update: Post-graduation work permit (PGWP)

This section contains policy, procedures and guidance used by IRCC staff. It is posted on the department’s website as a courtesy to stakeholders.

August 15, 2024

Instructions have been added to inform officers that curriculum licensing agreement (CLA) programs have now been issued an additional designated learning institution (DLI) number to indicate enrollment in a CLA. As of May 15, 2024, CLA programs are no longer eligible for a post-graduation work permit (PGWP).

Officers are instructed to review the DLI and program list to ensure applicants are eligible for the PGWP and to request additional documentation if required from the applicant.

A link to the operational reminder has been added.
