Program delivery update: Free Trade Agreements – International Mobility Program

Extensive updates for the free trade agreements (FTAs) under paragraph R204(a) were released on October 1, 2024. This update includes additional clarifications to the following agreements:
- CUSMA – The language referring to wages in the intra-company transferee and professional categories has been standardized.
- CCOFTA – The language referring to wages, educational requirements and the availability of an open work permit for accompanying spouses and common-law spouses in the intra-company transferee, investors, traders and professionals/technicians categories has been standardized.
- CUFTA – The language referring to wages, place of application and the availability of open work permit for accompanying spouses and common-law spouses in the intra-company transferee, as well as professionals categories, has been standardized.
- CPFTA – The language referring to wages and educational requirements in the intra-company transferee, as well as professionals/technicians categories, has been standardized.
- CPAFTA – The language referring to wages and the educational requirements in the professionals category has been standardized.
