The “Applying from within Canada” section previously specified that protected persons within the meaning of subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act and their family members could only apply for a study permit from within Canada if they were in-Canada permanent residence applicants. This has now been updated to indicate that protected persons and their family members, in general, are able to apply for a study permit from within Canada, not just those who have made an application for permanent residence.
