The following are directives previously provided in OB 553 for requesting passports or travel documents in the custody of the Canada Border Services Agency to allow IRCC offices in Canada to complete stage 2 processing (admissibility) or confirmation of permanent residence procedures for all permanent resident applicants and/or return the passport or travel document, as required by legislation.
