When IRCC or Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) officers are issuing a C90 work permit with the special program code “CARE4411” or “CARE4412”, the work permit is inadvertently issued to passport expiry when selecting “Generate” by default. To ensure the work permits are issued with the right duration, officers are asked to follow a workaround when processing a C90 work permit application.
