Program delivery update: Labour market impact assessment (LMIA) exemption codes – International Mobility Program

Several new LMIA-exemption codes are being added to GCMS and the Employer Portal. Individual country free trade agreements have new codes.
In addition, other LMIA-exemption codes that were used for several different work permit categories such as ‘A75’ have had new codes created for the different categories.
Where possible, the exemption codes have been corrected on the instruction pages. Where further updates are in process on certain pages, a flag has been added to the top of the page to alert officers of the code changes.
