This section contains policy, procedures and guidance used by IRCC staff. It is posted on the department’s website as a courtesy to stakeholders.

December 23, 2022

As of November 25, 2022, Central Intake Office officers must enter the National Occupational Classification (NOC) number matching the experience mentioned by the applicant in Section 6 of the form Schedule 6A. The NOC of the principal applicant must be updated in the “Clients and Parties” tab of the application. The officers must also determine whether the NOC number in the Global Case Management System accurately reflects the applicant’s intended occupation.
