Program delivery update: Procedures at inland offices regarding in-Canada claims for refugee protection

The updated interface between the Global Case Management System (GCMS) and the Immigration and Refugee Board’s (IRB’s) Nova system allows for the transfer and receipt of documents and data elements through electronic sharing between the IRB, IRCC and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), with the objective of making claim-related information available to the partners in a timely fashion. Following testing, change management, and a possible soft launch of certain critical functionality, the three implicated organizations (IRCC, CBSA, and the IRB) are on track to begin using this new functionality no later than June 30, 2022.
