These new program delivery instructions (PDI) provide operational instructions related to temporary special measures for Canadian citizens, permanent residents of Canada, and temporary residents directly affected by the emergency situation resulting from the 2021 floods in British Columbia.
Special measures include:
- the waiving of fees to replace lost, damaged or inaccessible documents issued by IRCC
- the waiving of fees for extension or restoration of temporary resident (TR) status
- exemptions from the requirement to seek restoration of TR status within 90 days
