Diplomats and officials may benefit from a 3-year multiple-entry visa. Some exceptions may apply. This does not apply to diplomats traveling to Canada to obtain their accreditation.
Diplomats traveling to Canada to receive their accreditation must apply for a temporary resident visa before travelling to Canada, even if they are visa-exempt. In these cases, officers should be issuing multiple-entry visas valid for 3 months.
