New instructions are available for the “add dependant” process of private sponsorship of refugees (PSR) applications.
As of May 1, 2018, the sponsorship undertaking now includes a clause which allows for the automatic addition of biological children to the undertaking who were born after the undertaking was originally received by the Resettlement Operations Centre in Ottawa (ROC-O).
New program guidance has been provided for situations where:
- biological children are added to an application
- other dependants (spouses, their children, adopted children, de facto dependants) are added to an application
