Program delivery update: Delegation of authority under the Citizenship Act and Citizenship Regulations – June 12, 2018

The amendments to the Citizenship Instrument of Delegation are primarily a result of changes to legislation introduced through Bill C‑6, An Act to amend the Citizenship Act and to make consequential amendments to another Act.
Other amendments include updates throughout to reflect the current structure of the Operations sector, the definition of Citizenship Officer has been clarified and various titles added or expanded on.
As well, delegated authority has been added for the Director General of Citizenship Branch to approve questions for the citizenship test.
