Update to the instructions on using the services of an interpreter
Summary
The page Using the services of an interpreter has been updated to instruct officers using interpreters in all line of businesses to apply the standardized process when contracting an interpreter.
The updates include
- the procedures for interpretation services contracting, including steps to follow and cases when to contract an interpreter;
- the specific contract form template to use when contracting an interpreter and instructions to fill it out;
- what to do before and during the interpretation services; and
- the steps to follow after the interpretation services are completed.
