Update to processing instructions for applications submitted under Express Entry

Summary

Due to various amendments to the Ministerial Instructions and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act as part of the Express Entry reform, the following updates to the processing instructions have been made, along with some minor corrections in content:

• Links to introductory pages under the Express Entry heading have been changed to link to the relevant external Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada web pages. These linked pages include new information on additional Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points for siblings in Canada and French language skills.
• References to Job Bank have been changed to reflect the change in Ministerial Instructions making Job Bank registration voluntary for Express Entry candidates.
• Changes have been made to the instructions on the completeness check for electronic applications for permanent residence indicating the documents required for applicants claiming a brother or sister in Canada for additional CRS points.

• Processing federal skilled trades class e-applications received on or after January 1, 2015
• Processing federal skilled worker class e-applications received on or after January 1, 2015
• Processing Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) applications received through Express Entry
• Update to Express Entry instructions for certain economic permanent residence classes
