Update to International Mobility Program instructions for employer-specific work permits with Labour Market Impact Assessment exemptions
Summary
The Employer Portal was launched on October 26, 2015, replacing the email submission method of the Offer of Employment to a Foreign National exempt from the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) form [IMM 5802].
However, due to a reported problem, the Department has re-enabled the use of the email submission for authorized employers. These processing instructions explain what actions to take in regards to the offer of employment information.
Officers should familiarize themselves with the important coding changes included in these instructions.
