Application for authorization to become a permanent resident under A25, R307 and R66

The fee payment will initiate processing.
Please note that for a principal applicant who is a dependent child, this would be an application for humanitarian and compassionate consideration (H&C application), the fees would be $635.
In Canada
Foreign nationals may submit a stand-alone H&C consideration application (IMM 0008 and IMM 5283) or a request under subsection A25(1) of the IRPA within a permanent residence application in Canada. The application must be submitted in accordance with the requirements specified in section R10 of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations.
A completed application for authorization to become a permanent resident under subsection A25(1) together with the fees will initiate processing.
Overseas
There is no separate application form overseas. A completed application for acquisition of a permanent residence visa in any of the three main categories, accompanied by a written request for humanitarian and compassionate consideration will initiate processing. The fees paid are consistent with the fee schedule for the types of permanent resident application.
Fee exemptions
Inland there are no fee exemptions. However, overseas the fee exemptions are the same as those for the class under which the client has applied for humanitarian and compassionate consideration. Where the client has been refused under a previous file, but now wishes H&C consideration, the client must reapply for permanent residence and pay the associated fees of the type of application.
