Ministerial Instructions 72 (MI 72): Ministerial Instructions regarding the processing of applications under the Start-up Business Class and the Self-employed Persons Class
New Ministerial Instructions came into effect on April 30, 2024, to support IRCC’s strategy for addressing wait times for applicants in the federal Business Class. These Instructions include a temporary cap on the number of new SUV applications that IRCC will accept for processing each year, criteria for prioritizing the processing of some SUV applications, and a temporary pause on the acceptance of new applications in the Self-Employed Persons Program.
