Ministerial Instructions (MI68): Letter of acceptance verification

New ministerial instructions on the processing of study permit applications took effect on December 1, 2023. These instructions give officers the authority to return a study permit application if the associated designated learning institution has not verified the letter of acceptance submitted by the applicant. The goal is to protect vulnerable students and preserve the integrity of the International Student Program.
