Part of the problem is that marketing by industry can influence how often opioids, other drugs and medical devices are prescribed or recommended.
Some of this marketing could be illegal.
Did you know that Health Canada launched an online portal to help address this issue?
This portal has information that will help you distinguish legal marketing from illegal marketing.
We have also created an easy online tool to report suspected illegal marketing practices to better protect Canadians.
