As much as we love the summer sun and the warmth it brings, Too much of a good thing can be bad for your health.

Extreme heat can be dangerous, especially for the elderly, the very young, those with chronic illnesses, and those who work outdoors.

Prepare for the summer heat:

Here are a few ways that you can stay healthy in the heat this summer.

Check the forecast to know when to take extra care.

Find a cool place like an air-conditioned location.

Keep cool in the shade, like the shade of a tree.

Make sure to drink plenty of water, especially if you are working outdoors or exercising outdoors.

If you don’t protect yourself from the heat, you could suffer from heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
