Regulatory Proposals recently prepublished in the Canada Gazette, Part I
The regulatory proposals posted here are initiatives put forward by the Food Directorate, other Directorates in the Health Products and Food Branch or federal Ministries. If approved, these proposals would modify Part A, B, D or E of the Food and Drug Regulations.
The table below is updated as soon as proposed amendments are prepublished in the Canada Gazette, Part I. Readers are invited to provide comments on these proposals within the specified time period indicated in the Notice of prepublication. Comments or questions can be sent to the following address: sche-ann@hc-sc.gc.ca.
These proposed amendments to the Regulation remain proposals until they are approved by the Governor in Council and registered, at which time they come into force unless the Regulations specify another effective date. The newly approved Regulations are then published in the Canada Gazette, Part II.
