Consultation on Deltamethrin, Ultratec 5SC MUP and Raid Bug Defense, Proposed Registration Decision PRD2026-12

Health Canada is proposing registration for the sale and use of Deltamethrin Technical Insecticide, Ultratec 5SC MUP, and Raid Bug Defense, containing the active ingredient deltamethrin, to control ants, cockroaches, house flies, stable flies and spiders on and around the home (outdoors only).
An evaluation of available scientific information found that, under the approved conditions of use, the health and environmental risks and the value of the pest control product is acceptable.

Health Canada will consider any written comments received from the public that are directly related to this proposed decision, such as comments directed to the science evaluation, in response to PRD2026-12 up to 30 days from the date of publication of this document (by 16 August 2026) before making a final decision on the proposed registration for Deltamethrin, Ultratec 5SC MUP and Raid Bug Defense.

Once the decision for Deltamethrin, Ultratec 5SC MUP and Raid Bug Defense, is finalized, Health Canada will post a Registration Decision on the Pesticides and Pest Management Reports and Publications portion of Canada.ca.
