Products Eligible for Determination of Equivalency
Health Canada has found certain products to be eligible for the GROU program, but has not received the requested information from the Canadian registrant to allow for a determination of product equivalency. In these cases, a notice of no further action is provided to the GROU program applicant and added to the Register. The applicable product will also be added to the "List of Eligible Products" which notifies and permits any Canadian to resume the GROU request within a two year period.
This secondary attempt to determine equivalency does not require the manufacturer of the Canadian and foreign registered product to be related, and the new requestor must provide all relevant information in order to allow Health Canada to make the equivalency determination.
