Importing countries finding a drug company under Canada's Access to Medicines Regime

Countries that want to use Canada's Access to Medicines Regime are required to make an arrangement with a Canadian pharmaceutical company that is prepared to manufacture the needed drug or medical device. Non-governmental organizations may be able to help a country connect with a pharmaceutical company interested in exporting. Once an arrangement has been established, the responsibility for submitting an application under the Regime belongs to the exporting company. As part of its application, a company will require a certified copy of the letter of notification sent to the World Trade Organization or the Government of Canada by the importing country.
