You are invited to comment on our proposed approach to self-care product regulation in Canada.
We will host consultation sessions both in person and online, starting in April 2017. At this time we will seek your input on the refined proposal regarding the regulation of self-care products.
Why
We are looking to modernize the regulation of self-care products, including:
- cosmetics
- natural health products
- non-prescription drugs
We are committed to openness and transparency and we want you to have your say throughout the process.
Who
This consultation is looking for comments from:
- consumers and consumer associations
- industry and industry associations
- healthcare professionals
- academia and regulators
- Indigenous Canadians
What
In 2016, we created a document: Consulting Canadians on the Regulation of Self-Care Products in Canada. From September 7, 2016 to October 24, 2016, we asked for your input on this document online.
Now, we want your comments on the refined proposal on the regulation of self-care products.
We will hold consultation sessions:
- in-person at various cities across Canada
- online via WebEx
When and where
In-person consultation sessions will begin in April 2017. Each consultation will last half a day. Please see our table below for information on dates and locations. Any added sessions or changes will be posted in the table.
