Congratulations! You have been successfully screened in as a candidate and are invited to write an exam. Now what happens?
What will I be tested on?
Most of the time, the criteria that will be assessed will be listed in the exam invitation. Sometimes you can anticipate the criteria by reading the Statement of Merit Criteria (SoMC) in the job poster.
What kind of questions will I be asked?
The Public Service Commission (PSC) offers practice exams and tests for administrative support, officers, managers and executives, as well as many other skill-testing exercises. However, Health Canada does not always use these exams. At times, exams are prepared by the managers who are running the application process.
Can I rewrite the exam?
While there are no rewrites allowed for in-house exams, for PSC-administered tests there is usually an allotted waiting period.
