Canadian Identity Preserved Recognition System (CIPRS)
The Canadian Identity Preserved Recognition System (CIPRS) is a voluntary program that focuses on process control as the best means to ensure a grain company can deliver the right product to its customer every time.
The certificate provides assurance that the grain company has effective identity preserved processes, mitigates potential grain safety risks, and meets the requirements of the Food Safety Identity Preserved Quality Management System Standard (PDF - 987 kb). The standard is compatible with quality management systems such as ISO (International Organization for Standardization).
Program components
To obtain CIPRS certification, a company must document and demonstrate that it has an effective identity preserved system for the production, handling and transportation of specialty grains, oilseeds or pulses.
