- FCAC has not been asked to appear before the NFFN Committee in the past 5 years.
Recent NFFN business of interest
- On May 1, Bank of Canada Governor Tiff Macklem took the unusual step of appearing at NFFN to discuss the Bank’s policy interest rate announcement before he appeared at FINA, the House Standing Committee on Finance.
- A main line of questioning from Committee members was whether spending measures announced in Budget 2024 would increase the rate of inflation.
