Pollution prevention
Pollution prevention (P2) is about avoiding the creation of pollution and waste in the first place. Traditional solutions focus on managing pollution and waste after the fact. These solutions are not always cost-effective and, often times, are not environmentally sound either. On the other hand, P2 seeks to identify how best to eliminate or reduce pollution and waste at the source.
Anyone can practice pollution prevention
