Online storage tank identification

The Federal Identification Registry for Storage Tank Systems (FIRSTS) is the easiest and fastest way to register your system subject to the Storage Tank Systems for Petroleum Products and Allied Petroleum Products Regulations and obtain an identification number. Tank systems that do not have a valid identification number displayed in a readily visible location on or near the storage tank system may be refused product delivery.

An identification number, in the format "EC-12345678", is generated immediately following the online submission of the required information through FIRSTS. This information must be kept up to date throughout the life of your storage tank system.
