Table 11. Additional Recommended Design Features for Chemical Storage Areas

Storage format: Bulk liquids

Design feature	Recommendations
Spill containment	Provide water sprays and/or ventilation to control ammonia and/or amine vapours.
Drip containment	Provide adequate ventilation to control ammonia and/or amine vapours.
Vapour control	Install control equipment as required to comply with applicable air emission limits for ammonia and amine vapours. If wet scrubbers are used, they should be designed for recycling and reuse of scrubber fluid.
