Toxic substances list: gaseous ammonia
Gaseous ammonia originates from both anthropogenic and natural sources. Anthropogenic sources include industry, transportation and agriculture, whereas natural sources include the waste product of animals, fish and microbial mechanisms. Gaseous ammonia has been identified as one of the principal precursors to fine particulate matter.
